The Situation
The Nguyen family's 1940s bungalow on Cedar Lane had the original galvanized steel pipes. Water pressure had been dropping for years, the hot water took forever to arrive at the upstairs bathroom, and there was a persistent metallic taste. They'd been told by another company that a repipe would take a week and require significant drywall removal.
The Approach
Marco surveyed the home and mapped every supply line. The house had good access points through the basement and attic. With careful routing, he determined he could run PEX through existing chases and wall cavities without opening any finished walls. The family could stay in the home during the work.
The Work
Day one: remove old galvanized supply lines from basement to attic. Day two: run new PEX manifold system with individual shutoffs for every fixture. Day three: connect all fixtures, pressure test, and flush the system.
The Nguyens had water back by 5pm on day three. No holes in the walls. No torn-up floors. Just clean, modern plumbing.
The Outcome
Water pressure is excellent throughout the home. Hot water reaches the second floor in under 10 seconds. The metallic taste is gone. And the Nguyens have a manifold system with individual shutoffs, meaning they can isolate any fixture without turning off the whole house.
"We were told it would take a week and we'd need to patch walls. Marco did it in three days and you can't tell he was here."
